About IceBreaker:
IceBreaker is a free online resource that maps the activity of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) within New York City. The central purpose of IceBreaker is to document when our neighbors are being kidnapped by federal agents and build a resource using publicly available data. The I.C.E. Sighting Map plots the exact locations where I.C.E. has been spotted, dating back to January 3rd, 2025. IceBreaker provides key information, such as the time, date, the number of agents on sight and the number of people detained. By tracking I.C.E.’s behavioral patterns we can begin to recognize key trends that can benefit directly-impacted people.
We encourage those who see I.C.E. on the streets of NYC to submit a report through this website to help us expand our archive.
This resource is specific to NYC -- anyone interested in creating a similar resource in their city can reach out to nycicebreaker@proton.me to get started.
